Enrollment Information For New Families

Thinking of coming to West Ridge?

The first step to enroll your child is to fill out an open enrollment application and get them on the waitlist.  Please click the link and fill out the form: https://www.greeleyschools.org/openenrollment

West Ridge Academy enrolls students by using a waitlist. We do not work off of a lottery system. Your application is placed on the waitlist by the date you complete the open enrollment application.  Offers are made on a first come, first serve basis by that date. It’s never too early to get on the waiting list. If you have an infant, please see the special instructions below.

Seats offers begin around February 1 for the upcoming school year and continue through the summer based on seat availability. Parents/guardians are notified through SchoolMint via text and/or email. Parents/guardians have two (2) calendar days to accept or reject a seat offer.

Students from the following categories are given priority in enrollment, in the order they are listed: 1) siblings of currently enrolled students, 2) children of employees, 3) waitlist.

If you do not receive an offer for the school year, your application rolls over year to year and remain on the waitlist for future years.

Applicants are responsible to visit https://greeleyschools.schoolmint.net/signin to update any changes to their application including address, phone numbers, etc. All applications are active and kept on file until applicants are offered enrollment or applicant requests removal.

Items To Be Aware Of

There are several things to be aware of about West Ridge Academy as you are looking to enroll in our school. West Ridge requires an annual student fee that is collected later in the registration process. The fee for the 2024/25 school year will be $125 per student for grades K-5 and $135 per student for grades 6-8 and is subject to change from year to year. Payment options are available. Families must agree with and sign both our family handbook and our technology agreement. All West Ridge students must follow the WRA Dress Code. Transportation is provided by families, not West Ridge Academy.

Minimum age requirements

Children must be five or six years of age on or before June 15 of the school year in question to be eligible to enroll in Kindergarten or First grade respectively. A birth certificate or similar legal document must be presented to the registrar, so a verified date of birth can be recorded on the child’s school record.

Infants and toddlers not eligible for the next school year

Parents may add infants or toddlers into the Open Enrollment Application.  Parents may fill this out at any time (after birth) and the application rolls forward each year until the child is old enough for Kindergarten. When the system marks them as grade level KG, it enters them into the waitlist at that time (in order or application date). To do this choose ‘infant’ on both the ‘Current Grade’ and ‘Grade Applying To’.

 

Currently enrolled students do not need to go through the open enrollment process. These students are automatically re-enrolled each year.
